Space Flight

Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13 by Jim Lovell and Jeffery Kluger.

In short...

But I recommend this book to all those interested in the Apollo program, and those wishing to know what kind of bravery it takes to have the right stuff in the face of disaster. This book is unevenly written. Some parts flow well, but one is advised to skip over some sections to get to the "the good parts." (Reviewed May 1995 by Richard Schoen)

The Millennial Project - Colonizing the Galaxy by Marshall T. Savage.

In short...

Marshall T. Savage believes that we must colonize space to preserve the bounty of life on Earth, which seems at high risk of eventual doom if we don't take positive steps soon. This thought is certainly not unusual, but Mr. Savages proposals will be new and exciting to most readers. (Reviewed May 1995 by Glen Wilkins)
