Blakemore Planetarium Astronomy Day Events

Blakemore Planetarium and the Museum of the Southwest invite everyone to come out to our Astronomy Day events on May 9 and 10.  Starting at 5 pm on May 9, Dr. Chris Impey from the University of Arizona will ask the question  “Why Are We So Lonely?”  That night at dusk, the West Texas Astronomers will set up their telescopes in the park behind the planetarium for a free star party.  From 10 am until 5 pm on May 10, we will have activities, solar observing, and an expanded free planetarium show schedule culminating in a sneak peek at our new show for the summer, Tales of the Maya Skies.
