Important Tour Info https://alcon2016.astroleague.org/important-tour-info/ Thu, 07 Jul 2016 13:32:22 +0000 https://alcon2016.astroleague.org/?p=492 Important Information for those folks participating in our field trips

For the Smithsonian Natural History Meteorite tours and those to the National Air & Space Museum, the bus departs 30 minutes before the actual tour start time; Udvar-Hazy and U. S. Naval Observatory, 45 minutes before the tour start time; and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, one hour before.  All buses arrive at the pickup point 15 minutes before departure.

A photo ID will be required of all those 16 years of age and older attending the Goddard and Naval Observatory tours

It is important that you arrive early at the pickup spot on N. Taylor Street (east side of the NRECA building). The buses will leave promptly at their designated times and you will not want to get left behind.

USNO and Goddard tours will close on 20 July

Paid registration for the USNO and Goddard tours will close on 20 July so we may meet their deadline for attendee identification.  No checks accepted after that date as well.

If you are a foreign national registered for the Goddard trip you must identify yourself as such and then provide additional information as follows: birthdate, country of origin, passport number and expiration date, in addition to your name.

The USNO trip may even be closed to foreign nationals due to security rules.

It may not be possible to change any of your previously scheduled tour choices after 20 July — be certain of your selections when you register.
