In keeping with ALCon tradition, we will be hosting a Star-B-Q at nearby Barcroft Park on Thursday evening, August 11th. Attendees will be taken by coach to the park and returned to their hotels after the event. In addition to enjoying a fine barbeque dinner, we will have a musical interlude and an Astronomy book raffle. Members of ALPO will man telescopes aimed at the moon to discuss unique features with our guests. This will be a great chance to mix with other amateur astronomers from around the country and relax after a full day of presentations and field trips.
