The Local Group in association with The Santa Clarita Public Library present “Astronomy Day at the Valencia Library” on Saturday October 8th, 2016 at the Valencia Library 23743 Valencia Blvd., Santa Clarita, CA 91355. Join us for presentations, solar observing, telescope building for the kids, crafts building sundials and planispheres, scavenger hunts and more.
We will also be having a telescope workshop to assist folks in setup and operation of their personal telescopes. The event runs from 10am until 3pm. That evening we will return to the library parking lot with our instrument-grade telescopes to look at Mars, Saturn and other deep sky objects from 7pm-10pm.
