Astronomy NIght
The NASA Wallops Flight Facility Visitor Center and its partner the Delmarva Space Sciences Foundation will host an Astronomy Night event from 7:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 10.
This event begins with an astronomy presentation in the Visitor Center’s auditorium at 7:30 p.m. followed by night sky observations through high-powered telescopes operated by the Delmarva Space Sciences Foundation on the grounds of the Visitor Center from 7:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Drop-in, hands-on space science activities, videos, and astronomy resources will also be available from 8 – 9 p.m.
The astronomy presentation and indoor activities will take place regardless of the weather conditions. However, the telescope viewing is subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.
The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 7:15 p.m.
