International Astronomy Day Star Party

Join the CPS Planetarium staff and the Central Missouri Astronomy Association (CMAA) members for a star party to celebrate International Astronomy Day! Telescopes will be available for viewing the night sky, but feel free to bring your own or even a pair of binoculars. Bring a chair or blanket, and join us for star gazing just south of Columbia. Please dress for the weather and avoid using very bright headlights or flashlights while in the star party zone. Limited refreshments will be available.
This event will be hosted on the Boone County Nature School grounds at 8871 Tom Bass Road, Columbia, MO 65201. Stargazing begins around sunset at 8pm and will last until about 11pm.
This event is free with no registration required. This event is an official NASA Solar System Ambassador event. This event is weather permitting, with a pending rain date of Friday May 5th.
