Indiana Family Star Party and AL GreatCon 2017

The 15th annual Indiana Family Star Party draws amateur astronomers and their families and the public to enjoy the camaraderie of those interested in the stars and other celestial objects. Camping is available on the observing field near the Prairie Grass Observatory, on the grounds of Camp Cullom. On-site food is available Friday afternoon through Sunday breakfast, plus an optional group brunch on Friday and an ice cream social Friday evening. Astronomy-related speakers are present Saturday afternoon just before a popular raffle. The Sky Trekker kids program is held Friday and Saturday evenings. Camp Cullom’s trails and prairie grass are available for nature lovers. July 25-27 are optional, free, nights for full-event registrants. Daily walk-in attendees are welcome on Friday and Saturday. See the web site for fees and registration information. This event is sponsored by the Wabash Valley Astronomical Society, the Indiana Astronomical Society, and the Muncie Astronomy Club.
