Interstellar Saturday, April 21st, from 1 pm to 5 pm – includes children’s activities related to astronomy.
Weather permitting, Safe Sun Observation through telescope.
Events include:

1) Telescope Clinic from 1 pm to 4 pm. Bring your telescope to MAS and experts will show you how to best use them and how to tune them for best performance.

2) Special Planetarium presentation at 2 pm to 2:45 pm:
“The Upcoming Sky Extravaganza” by Astronomer/Science Writer Philip Groce
A personal tour of the upcoming sky events of 2018, including the close opposition of Mars and the parade of planets.
A few lucky ticket holders will win Astronomy related prizes.

3) Special Planetarium Presentation at 4 pm to 4:45 pm:
“Death By Universe and Other Happy Thoughts of a Sky Observer” by Astronomer/Science Writer Philip Groce
Why Observing the Universe is important and how Astronomy affects our everyday lives.
