Congratulations to Steve Shubert of the Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri for his “Supermoon and Bridge!” 

He won first place in the 2017 OPT Widefield imaging competition, and, in recognition of that, he will receive a $250 OPT gift certificate. 

Steve captured the rising “super moon” near Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge in St. Louis on November 16, 2016. He used a Nikon D750 with a Nikkor 28-300 mm lens set to 300mm, f/16, 1.6 second exposure, ISO – 1600.
