Article VII. Activities and Services Sections

Section 1.

There will be various service organizations, directed by an individual or committee, authorized by and operated according to a Standing Resolution.

Section 2.

A list of high priority goals, objectives and member services, shall be maintained and updated annually under the direction of the President according to Standing Resolution 6.

Section 3.

There will be a standing committee called the Publications Committee which shall consist of not less than (5) individuals with knowledge and skill in management of graphic arts and publications. The Publications Committee shall select the editor(s) and business manager(s), subject to appointment by the President and approval by the Council. The Publications Committee shall be responsible for the maintenance of quality and continued growth of League Publication. The committee shall submit a detailed annual report to the Council, containing a budget and finances, for each publication. The data for this report shall be available to the Treasurer and his/her assistant(s), if any, at least sixty (60) days before the national convention. The Treasurer shall be an ex-officio member of the Publications Committee.

Section 4.

The League shall produce a publication for distribution on a regular basis to the membership, whose editor shall be selected according to Section 3 of this article. The publication's name and format shall be determined by the Council. Suitable space for editorial columns will be provided for use by the President and editor without change except for normal editorial alterations and propriety.

Section 5.

Repealed.

Section 6.

Technical activity sections may be established by the Council and will be administered by committees appointed by the chair, who shall in turn be appointed by the President.

Section 7.

Each activities or services committee will submit an annual report and budget at the League business meeting or at other times as requested by the Council.
